1. Tawang

  • About :- It is a high altitude (3048 m) town located in the lap of the mighty Himalayas which offers a perfect blend of nature and culture with the second largest monastery in the world after the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet.
  • Main Attractions :- Galden Namgey Lhatse/ Tawang Monastery, Panga Teng Tso Lake, Bap Teng Kang /Nuranang Waterfalls, Bum La Pass, Meerathang Glacier Wall, Sangestar/ Madhuri Lake & Sela Pass.

2. Ziro

5. Roing

7. Namdapha National Park

  • About :- The huge mountains, dense jungles, and many water bodies, an extensive range of wildlife species including snow leopard, red panda, and clouded leopard.   • About :- It is also known as “Gateway of Arunachal” is located along the Siang River Valleys and the Himalayas. It is the oldest town of Arunachal Pradesh founded in 1911 and makes for a perfect destination to explore the tradition and culture of the people living here. You can also enjoy rafting, fishing, angling, boating, wildlife safari, nature photography as well as trekking here. 
  • Main Attractions :- Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary, Kekar Monying, Pangin, Pasighat Buddhist Temple, Bodak Scenic Area.

9. Along

  • About :- Along also known as Aalo, is renowned for its scenic beauty. Lush green valleys, hills and orange orchards dot this town and make it appear heavenly. It is also known for many villages where you can find different tribes and get to know the rich culture and tradition of the tribal. It is a picturesque valley at the confluence of Sipu and Siyom River.The Kamki Hydropower Dam is 25km from Aalo and a beautiful place to visit. Siyom hanging bridge is a 70m long bamboo and cane bridge.

10. Sela Pass

  • About :- Located at 4170 m elevation. This pass is considered sacred by Buddhists, and it is believed that there are 101 lakes around it. During the ride through this pass you will get the glimpse of the mighty snow-clad Eastern Himalayas and this ride will surely leave you spellbound. Sela Pass, without a doubt, is one of the must visit places in Arunachal Pradesh.

11. Dong Village

  • About :- This village is situated at a confluence of Lohit and Sati rivers and is the easternmost village which is said to receive the first sun rays in India. At an altitude of 1240 m, It is placed at a strategic location of tri-junction of three countries namely, India, Myanmar and China. The place is enriched with unspoiled natural beauty and is a photographer’s paradise. Trekking is the best way to explore this gorgeous destination.

  1. My brother studies in Guwahati and every year we think that this summer break, we’ll visit him instead of him coming to us. We finally had tickets for 13th may this year and were planning on exploring some of these places. But Covid hit us hard 😦
