It was a my first such long South India trip from Delhi with lot of expectations and hope during the winters of North India. I travelled this beautiful land of tranquility & peace with public transport in a week as per following itinerary.
- Kochi Airport
- Aluva Metro Station
- Vytilla Mobility Hub Bus Stand
- Alleppey (DAY 1)
- Varkala (DAY 2)
- Dhanuvachapuram Station
- Thirivanthpuram Station
- Kovalam (DAY 3 & 4)
- Poovar (DAY 5)
- Kanyakumari (DAY 6)
- Nagarcoil Station
- Aluva Station
- Kochi Airport
DAY 1 :- Alleppey– It is a famous town for its Beautiful Back Water Canals and huge numbers of Houseboats. Backwaters is also used as means of transport with the boats for majority of local residents.
DAY 2 :- Varakala – It is known as only cliff beach in India. Also known for Surfing, Peaceful and beautiful beaches. Edva beach is also must place in Varkala. It also has cliff market with too many good restaurant.
DAY 3 & 4 :- Kovalam :- It is a beach with lighthouse, perfect for shopping hub & plenty of restaurant with beach front. You can spend amazing time here while sitting in restaurant, roaming around and watching sea anytime.
DAY 5 :- Poovar – It is also famous for backwaters but its less commercialized as compared to Alleppey hence less crowded. Therefore more natural vibe one can feel easily. Although its little expensive though than Alleppey backwaters. But its Golden Beach is highly recommended in Poovar Backwater.
DAY 6 :- Kanyakumari – It is a southern corner of India with confluence of three oceans and super fabulous vibe of the Vivekanand Memorial in the middle of the sea. But it is the most crowded and commercialized town with all the facilities for tourism like all types of restaurant and big hotels as compared to rest of the smaller and peaceful towns of Kerala. But overall it was best place to enjoy the utmost beauty of the sea (Sunset or Sunrise) and delicious food of all over India.
